Indoor Premier Teams

PREMIER:
Program Overview: Premier is the most competitive FHL program, intended for the most dedicated and committed field hockey athletes looking to compete at the college level who are willing to prioritize field hockey in their extracurricular schedules. It brings together the top athletes across the state. Premier athletes practice 1-2 times a week during the indoor season. Premier athletes are eligible to be selected for the most competitive USAFH qualifying tournaments - National Indoor Qualifier, National Indoor Tournament (if qualified), and Regional Club Championship (spring) - in addition to other out-of-city or out-of-state competitive travel tournament opportunities. Athletes who participate in premier are expected to be available for all practices and tournament opportunities.

Seasons offered: Winter indoor, spring/summer outdoor
Ages offered: U16, U19
  • Under-16 Age Classification: Players born after July 31, 20010, are eligible.
  • Under-19 Age Classification: Players born after July 31, 2008, are eligible.
Travel requirement: Travel required for practices and tournaments
Tryouts Dates:
Sunday, November 1st
Sunday, November 8th
** all athletes will be assigned a 90-minute slot between 8am - 4pm.
** You must attend at least one tryout.  It is not mandatory to attend both.  If you have a conflict with both dates, please contact us immediately to make other arrangements.
Tryout Location: Columbus, OH (4990 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, OH)

Any athletes who tryout for Travel Premier and are not named to the Travel Premier program will automatically be placed on a Travel Select team or placed on a team in the Regional League. Initial prices for all three programs are equal.

Initial fee for Select and Premier Travel teams includes all trainings, tryouts, and college recruiting seminars.  All travel tournaments for Select and Premier are an additional fee and will be invoiced once teams are named.

The Regional Team fee is the same as the travel initial fee and includes tournament fees. However, regional fee does not include tryouts and recruiting seminars.

Practices

Premier Practices:

- SATURDAY Weekly Team Practices are in COLUMBUS (Bill McDonaald Gym at 4990 Olentangy River Road).

Team practice block from  12-2  or 2-4, 4-6, or 6-8 PM on Saturday's starting November 14 - February 20th. Exact training times for each age group coming soon.

  • No Saturday practices on November 28th, December 26th, and January 2nd.

-WEDNESDAY Skills Training in Cleveland.  November - early January on Wednesday's 7 - 9 PM at WRA and mid January - mid February is TBD.

December 12-13: Midwest Classic Indoor Cup in Hamilton, OH. U-16 and U-19 athletes - $75

December 19: U16 NITQ in MI (3 FHL Teams) - $175

December 20: U19 NITQ in MI (3 FHL Teams) - $175

January 9: U-16 NITQ in Charlotte, NC (1 FHL Team.  Note that this team will practice on Sunday, Jan 3 too) - $175

January 10: U-19 NITQ in Charlotte, NC (1 FHL Team.  Note that this team will practice on Sunday, Jan 3 too) - $175

January 22-27: Sunshine Showcase in Orlando, FL. U-16 and U-19 selected athletes. - $400

February 7: Spooky Nook in Lancaster, PA. U-16 and U-19 teams. - $75

February 19-21: U19 NIT in VA (qualification required)

February 26-28: U16 NIT in PA (qualification required)

Registration includes Premier tryouts, all training academy practices, and recruiting and nutrition webinars throughout the season.

Registration does NOT include tournaments. Tournament fees will be invoiced once rosters are made and specific tournaments are assigned to each team.

Registration does NOT include USA Field Hockey Membership.  All travel athletes must hold a USAFH player membership and be affiliated with "Field Hockey Life" club.  To obtain a membership, click HERE
