Regional:
Overview: Regional is intended for field hockey athletes looking to develop their individual skill but who are balancing other commitments and cannot commit to traveling. Regional athletes practice once a week locally during the indoor season, and 1-2 times per week during the outdoor season. Regional athletes are eligible (but not required) to compete in 2 FHL Regional Play Days during the season, occuring in Columbus, Cincinnati, or Cleveland, against other FHL Regional Teams. This program is also recommended for newer middle school, newer high school athletes, or athletes playing multiple sports.
Tryouts required?: No
Seasons offered: Winter indoor, spring/summer outdoor
Ages offered: U12, U14, U16, U19
Travel requirement: No travel required or option to travel in-state for regional play days

practices
Regional teams typically practice locally 1-2 times per week, and have the opportunity to compete in optional 7v7 tournaments throughout the season, should they desire.
