Youth Teams

FHL offers youth opportunities for athletes in K - 6th grade in our Ohio-based cities.

Beginner Leagues and Travel Programs are outlined below.  All interested athletes should sign-up for the winter academy in their respective city.  Athletes will have 1 weekly practices, as well, as "game days" throughout the indoor season.

From the Youth Academies, we will also be selecting U-10 and U-12 travel teams to participate in 7v7 tournaments throughout the Midwest.  RSVPs will be sent out to families after the first two practices are completed.  These RSVPs do not guarantee selection, but they will help us better understand who is interested and available to be selected for a travel youth team.

Practices:

Location: Bill McDonald Athletic Facility at 4990 Olentangy River Road, Columbus

K-3rd grade teams practice:

  • Sunday's from 2-3:30 PM

4th - 6th grade and U12 Travel practices:

  • Sunday's from either 12:30-2 PM or 2-3:30 PM.  Exact time is TBD.

All players:

  • Saturday, Dec 19th: Ohio Cup Semi-Finals at home.
  • Sunday, Feb 14th: Ohio Cup Finals at Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, OH

U-10 and U-12 Select Travel Teams:

  • Above Tournaments plus...
  • Saturday, Dec 12: U-12 only at Spooky Nook in Hamilton, OH
  • Sunday, Dec 13: U-10 only at Spooky Nook in Hamilton, OH
  • Jan 22-24: U12 selected athletes to Sunshine Showcase in Orlando, FL at Wide World of Sports.  ** This is an outdoor tournament. 
  • Feb 26-28: U-12 National at Spooky Nook in Lancaster, PA

4th - 6th grade and U12 Travel practices:

  • Sunday's 120 minute practice block between 11-3 PM.  Exact time will be updated soon.
