Indoor Premier Teams

Program Overview: Premier is the most competitive FHL program, intended for the most dedicated and committed field hockey athletes looking to compete at the college level who are willing to prioritize field hockey in their extracurricular schedules. It brings together the top athletes across the state. Premier athletes practice 1-2 times a week during the indoor season and 2 times a week during the outdoor season. Premier athletes are eligible to be selected for the most competitive USAFH tournaments - Sunshine Showcase (a new addition to the Premier schedule for '25), National Indoor Qualifier, National Indoor Tournament (if qualified), and Regional Club Championship - in addition to other out-of-city or out-of-state competitive travel tournament opportunities. Athletes who participate in premier are expected to be available for all practices and tournament opportunities.

Ages offered: U16, U19

  • Under-16 Age Classification: Players born after July 31, 2008, are eligible.
  • Under-19 Age Classification: Players born after July 31, 2006, are eligible.
Travel requirement: Travel required for practices and tournaments
Tryouts Dates:
Sunday, October 27th
Sunday, November 3rd
** all athletes will be assigned a 90 minute slot between 9 AM - 4 PM.
** Only those athletes FINISHED with their high school season can attend the first tryout on October 27th!
** You must attend at least one tryout.  It is not mandatory to attend both.  If you have a conflict with both dates, please contact us immediately to make other arrangements.

Any athletes who tryout for premier and are not named to the premier program will automatically be placed on a select or regional team.

Registration includes Premier tryouts, all training academy practices, and recruiting and nutrition webinars throughout the season.

Please note: there will be an additional fee that will be invoiced for all tournaments and any additional weekly practices added. The additional Wednesday evening practice fee (in all cities this year) will be invoiced in November after the rosters are named and tournaments are finalized for each team.

Premier Practices:

- SATURDAY Weekly Team Practices are in COLUMBUS (Bill McDonaald Gym at 4990 Olentangy River Road).

Team practice block from 10-12, 12-2  or 2-4, or 4-6 PM on Saturday's starting November 16 - February 15th. Exact training times are below.

  • No practice on November 30th and December 28th.
